Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

I'm traveling around Europe with Topdeck for all of june, my last tour ends in Norway on the 3rd of July and then i'm going back to Denmark for Roskilde. Given that I'm only allowed a set amount of luggage for the tour, and I'm going by myself, which do you think is the best option?
Edit to say that I'll already have a sleeping bag with me.

I've never stayed at the Get-a-tent camping areas but i would imagine it is much more quiet and more rules apply compared to the 'real' campingsites. Get A Tent normally looks like a secluded humanitarian aid camp with no pavillions, less music and less people staying in their camps - if u havent looked it up, this is what it looks like http://lh6.ggpht.com/_-nb_jGMfc2Y/SHPykn2k0HI/AAAAAAAABHg/RqU9dYiSzUs/03.JPG

You can buy your own tent for DKK 200 or say USD 50 and i'f you're alone you can pretty much choose which campsite to stay at, i would much rather go for that option and find a good camp to crash icon_smile.gif

Regardless of what you end up doing, i' m sure you'll have a great time at RF icon_biggrin.gif

Heyyy... So it'll be okay if i don't pre-book a tent but just head on over to the festival before deciding which campsite to sleep at?

Cause i'll be going alone as well. And there doesn't seem to be any option for solo travellers. I totally don't mind bunking in anywhere. But i don't wanna buy a tent cause i won't wanna keep it after that anyway. Hahha...

Small 1 man tents are usually DKK100 to DKK150 at hardware stores. Those are ok if it's not raining too much. If it is buy a tarp to cover the tent.

The general advice is only to get a get-a-tent ticket if you have definite reason to do so. Otherwise it's always much better to stay at the actual camping ground. Remember that the get-a-tent area is quite a distance from the other camping areas and festival grounds. It is actually the furthest away from the festival grounds of all the camping areas.

Oh, and you don't have to camp alone if you don't want to. There has in recent years being in a rise in festival goers seeking camping partners online (via this forum) before the festival. There's always a bunch of these stranger camps.

In years where I have gone alone, or have people join me later, I've never had a problem getting friends with the neighbours.

So in about April-May, there is probably gonna be a lot more that needs camping buddies icon_smile.gif
