Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

I'm just curious (since I will be be flying over from England to Roskilde latter this year. I can't wait!!!) if there is any like deposit box? You can keep a passport in during your stay?

I don't believe there will be a deposit box so I'm simply planning to bury my passport into the bottom of my rucksack and keep my rucksack in my tent.
But I'm just asking if there would be some form of saftey deposit system? since, although I don't believe I will need one. I don't want to be the one idiot who keeps his passport with him when a safety deposit system is available. lol

Just checking, and if anyone is willing to share there past experiences with passports at Roskilde I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance, Niall

There´s free luggage storage at each agora. That´s where I usually leave my passport and plane tickets etc... That´s not exactly a deposit box, and the festival doesn´t take responsibility for the items you leave there, but it´s way better than to leave your things you´ll need to get home in your tent.

Do this!!

I did once get my entire rucksack stolen from my tent, so now I deposit important things - and on the Sunday everything - at the Agoras (I would, however, also like to state, that I haven't really seen any "open-crime" besides people smoking weed on Roskilde, so it's not like you should be afraid of the people when walking around at Roskilde... I was just unlucky, i guess)

Actually the festival has to and does take responsibility for everything you leave at the storage, except cash. If anything you have left at the storage is missing, again except cash, it is the festivals responsibility, and their insurance that has to cover it.

Btw, it's not a huge problem to have your passport missing. Just contact your local embassy to get a temporary one valid for the home trip only. And in this day an age, you'll have to be a moron to have plane tickets on paper, not that anyone could misuse them that's impossible but there's always the risk of them going missing or ruined. Get paperless tickets. They're cheaper anyways.

And pro tip no. 1: don't ever leave your tent with your bags packed up neat and tidy. That's just asking for a would be thief to walk away with all your belongings.
