Quick guide for the search
- Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
- Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
- Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Here are some names i posted in the other thread, i ruled out the big names like Armin Van Buuren, Above and Beyond and Oakenfold so i look smarter, or that they need a bigger stage Sied van Riel Jochen Miller Richard Durand Daniel Kandi Dash Berlin Sean Tyas Simon Patterson Eddie Halliwell Marcus Shulz Stonecold Tritonial Ørjan Nilsen Filo and Peri John O´Callaghan Joop ATB Sander Van Doorn Marcel Woods Kutski Sander Kleinenberg Marco V Lange Airbase Wippenberg Menno De Jong Ferry Corsten DJ Ange Corsten, Shultz, Van Doorn and maybe a few others are big outside Denmark but i don´t think that they need a bígger tent at Roskilde because we danes only listen to vocal house and dance. Well said btw the only thing i hear when i listen to Dubstep is woble woble weird noise and more Woble. Maybe its because i have only heard about Skrillex so im hopeful that there is something good Dubstep out there and that i just need to discover it. Magnetic Man and Chase & Status are okay but they are probably more Mainstream (aka more radio friendly) so that must be the reason i like their music. |

Okay everytime someone mentions Skrillex I'm going to quote myself from now on: Rockmus wrote:
Please no - and to explain why let me quote the fine gentleman that is James Blake: "I think the dubstep that has come over to the U.S., and certain producers-- who I can't even be bothered naming-- have definitely hit upon a sort of frat-boy market where there's this macho-ism being reflected in the sounds and the way the music makes you feel. And to me, that is a million miles away from where dubstep started... from the ethos of it. It's been influenced so much by electro and rave, into who can make the dirtiest, filthiest bass sound, almost like a pissing competition, and that's not really necessary. And I just think that largely that is not going to appeal to women. I find that whole side of things to be pretty frustrating, because that is a direct misrepresentation of the sound as far as I'm concerned." |

That was also what i expected, that he is for Dubstep what Tiësto is for dance music and Swedish House Mafia for House music. |

I love dubstep by the way - just not that BREEEEEEEEEEEEEEUW wobble-wobble-wobble KRISHKRASH RRRAAAARRAAAAHHHHJ zjUNG thing that Skrillex and his likes play. I find SBTRKT's album one of the best I've ever heard, and besides that - Burial is always phenomenal! |

SBTRKT Should revisit Roskilde again, this year on his own.. well, of course Sampha should come with him as well. And isn't Burial working on an album? Would be great if he got to finish it to tour around a bit. [This article was edited 1 times, at last 08.01.2012 at 18:09.] |

One of the replies in this thread should be considered spam. I think you should really show respect for other tastes in music. On the dubstep-discussion, I think youtube's comment system has ruined what could be a new punk culture. Dubstep can really awaken emotions that will make you dance like a mad man. It's fun. I've got nothing against Skrillex, but he could be considered the Justin Bieber of dubstep. With the pros and cons which come with that. Don't comb all the hairs under one comb (norwegian saying). Here are some dubstep names which bring something other than noise(some noise may be involved). Flux Pavilion (check superbad if you don't like wub) Doctor P Nero (has tendencies towards more traditional electronic) Shayning Borgore Skream All the artists from Circus Records have an original taking to the genre. Also wishing for Daft Punk btw |

Insulting dubstep because you don't like Skrillex is wrong. Electronic genres are ever changing/developing. especially since a lot of artist want to break barriers, experiment and provoke those who put music into 'box-genres'. Skrillex is not really dubstep, if you want to call it dubstep, call it americanized dubstep. He would still be a great act for roskilde because his electronic music carries that much energy. Sort of a David Guetta of 2012, only with a more dirty sound. Nero and Feed Me i would also consider as a new electronic style , not brostep, not really uk dubstep but just this heated, agressive sound which would definitely compliment the roskilde lineup. I saw Nero live last year and i felt like i was 17 again jumping around in a moshpit having the time of my life! Personally i'd prefer they booked NERO if it had to be them or Skrillex. It would be amazing to see SBTRKT back at Roskilde and my favorite, Joker http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUTvkYgpIYE, who released an amazing album in 2011 (The Vision) which in my opinion is top notch and very very addictive dubstep sound |

Autolaser, norwegian dubstep artist. http://www.nrk.no/urort/Artist/AutoLaser/default.aspx Savant killer beats, which would fucking make the sickest rave http://open.spotify.com/track/0S8XGqwwEjaE6vunfz2ATO Or maybe some drum'n'bass with B complex http://open.spotify.com/track/2hpury7iSnkYDbUiGzHeMp Love from Norway! Edit: to those who dont like Skrillex, I have been on 2 Skrillex conserts now, both has been sick. But if you really want to make the shit wicked get Flux or Bare Noize, sickest shit!
