We continuously add new acts to the programme
Unlike many other festivals, Roskilde Festival does not announce the full music programme at once. We typically reveal the first act in the beginning of the year or in the month of December – and subsequently we announce new names throughout winter and spring.
Wednesday often means new music on the programme in the festival season. Thousands of dedicated Roskilde-goers are aware of this and visit the website.
The full programme offers about 200 artists.
Band schedule is ready in June
Roskilde Festival publishes the time schedule in June, typically a few weeks before the festival. We do this to make the best schedule possible for our audience.
When we, for various reasons, are forced to make changes late in the process, we have a better chance at putting together a programme that considers both the spreading of genres, the performer's touring plans and safety at the festival.
