Brand-new star duo formed at Roskilde Festival

Broken Bells is the result of a meeting between James Mercer and Danger Mouse in 2004.

Numerous exciting relationships begin at Roskilde Festival. Also between performing artists.

Danger Mouse saw James Mercer from The Shins play a concert at Roskilde Festival in 2004 – and shortly after the two artists found out that they wanted to work together.

“As soon as I heard the Shins, I wanted to do something with James, no matter what,” Danger Mouse says to music magazine Rolling Stone.

The result is Broken Bells – an exciting, new collaboration betwen the two central figures on the US alternative music scene.

The last time Danger Mouse visited Roskilde Festival was in 2008 as one half of the duo Gnarls Barkley.
