Bands along the lines of Fucked Up do not suit every taste. The unrestrained stage shows, the half-naked, unpredictable lead singer. Yet, Roskilde Festival was in doubt that Fucked Up had a spot on the 2009 festival poster.

And our enthusiasm is shared. Fucked Up has just won the coveted, Canadian Polaris Music Prize – in front of much more reliable fellow countrymen such as Metric and Great Lake Swimmers.

We congratulate the uncompromising band with the recognition from the Parnassus – and say thanks for an excellent concert this summer.
