The summer festivals are over, and we can start looking forward to next year's music parties. But before then, let us look back. How many visitors did the various festivals have?

There is no complete agreement. Instead, there is a swirl of estimates of attendance figures.

"We have seen lots of different numbers when the festivals count their audiences. In the media we have seen numbers that form a loose mix of all-day guests, one-day guests and volunteers. That makes it difficult to compare," says Roskilde Festival's spokesman Esben Danielsen.

Roskilde Festival has now tried to form an overview of the attendance figures at the larger Scandinavian festivals.

This survey collects data from the festivals' own websites, from websites of the festival associations Yourope and FestivalDanmark and from various online media.
