Lean back and dream about the time machine that can send you 173 days into the future. The volunteer project leaders have worked hard for months thinking up, testing and designing all the new projects at Rokilde Festival 2012.

And we can guarantee you that the festival in 2012 will be nine days of intense travelling – with the unexpected as one of your faithful companions.

So now that you've soothed your New Year’s hangovers with the news about our new mobile stage, Apollo, we’d like to give you a handful of headlines of some of the news that we will tempt you with in the coming months.

You build Dream City
We cannot tell you yet what Dream City will look like. Why? You are the one to build the new hood at camping area P. Can you handle the challenge of breaking the limits of what can be done at a festival, then listen up when we soon invite all sorts of creative souls and daydreamers to play along.

Final fight against garbage
Be prepared for the final fight against garbage! We have good news for those who think that the camping area sometimes looks like a Moroccan landfill. We double up on rubbish bins and collect waste from early morning until late evening with lots of garbage-cans-on-wheels. And the friendly service guards will make sure that you never run out of garbage bags in your camp.

At the swimming lake we have new offers such as wellness and mud bath. We will also inject new energy into the area for music geeks by the Pavilion stage with lots of acoustic mini concerts and interview sessions.

In Poor City we focus on the conditions of young asylum seekers in Scandinavia, and we plan to shrink the closed media area to give you much more space at the public festival site.

What about the music? Of course! In the coming period we will treat you to even more goodies. And on 19 April – at high noon – we are ready to lift the orange veil in front of the poster with the approx. 170 acts who will play on Roskilde Festival's eight stages this summer.

And if you cannot wait for summer, you can enjoy lots of music and Roskilde atmosphere as early as March and April when Roskilde Road Trip parks the tour bus in major cities in Sweden, Norway and Germany.
