Roskilde Festival supports CARE’s humanitarian work

The Roskilde Festival Charity Society, whose finances come from the profits from the annual Roskilde Festival, donates DKK 100,000 (approx. € 13,422) to CARE’s humanitarian work in Haiti.

This is the first time that aid organisation CARE receives a donation from Roskilde Festival Charity Society that has donated all profits from Roskilde Festival to humanitarian projects since the early 70s.

CARE specialises in helping the poorest to adapt to climate changes and has more than 60 years of experience in fighting and preventing global poverty.

The donation of DKK 100,000 (approx. € 13,422) goes to a project in Haiti that is still devastated after the earthquake. The funds will ensure clean drinking water for the residents.

Unfortunately, climate changes often affect people who do not have neither the resources nor the means to adapt. Therefore, it is important to support them in learning to live with such challenges. At the same time this is an extension of our focus on the environment and efforts to reduce the festival's CO2 emission by supporting an organisation such as CARE in their efforts to help the people that the climate changes hit.
