Show us your festival film and win a festival ticket

Have you caught Roskilde 2010 in motion pictures, then share the content with us in our web TV.

Did you catch this year’s Roskilde Festival in motion images on your mobile phone, with a camera or something else? Is the end result good, and does your film deserve a wider audience than just your friends and family?

We encourage you to show us all your festival films as a piece of an orange feeling. The best film wins a ticket to Roskilde Festival 2011 – and it is your fellow festival-goers that decide the winner.

Upload your finished film to our FTP server on the address ftp.roskilde-festival.dk (use the folder 'pub'). Please include a title and a brief summary of the film (20-50 words). All films uploaded before 23 August participate in the competition for best audience film of the year. Among all uploaded films we select 10 candidates that the audience can vote on.

  • Cut your film so that you omit unnecessary "noise".
  • Do not use music.
  • With an international festival audience, we encourage everyone to make subtitles for all non-English speak.
  • The ideal length for your film is less than three minutes.

We choose the candidates based on criteria such as storytelling, angle and originality. It is less important whether you have the most expensive equipment, and much more important that you can put together a story.

If you know a little about technical specifications, we ask you to follow the specs below. And you do not know what we are on about, that is ok too... then just upload what you have.

  • Resolution: min. 640 x 360 px – but preferably larger and in a 16:9 format
  • Overall bit rate: min. 2 to 3 Mbit
  • Audio codec: 44.1 KHz stereo, AAC (or the like)
  • Video codec: .h264 (container format: mov)
  • Frame rate: 25 fps
  • Interlacing: de‐interlaced
  • Video system: PAL

We put your films online on the fly, in a dedicated audience channel in our web TV. There will be bits of delay from upload to publishing as we have a human filter that will look through all the material. We reserve the right to delete films if they are offensive or too frivolous.

Share the feeling!
