  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Hi There

I'm flying from Dubai to come to Roskilde with my friend from Glasgow meeting me in Copenhagen. This will be our first Roskilde and looking forward to it.

We have booked up for Get a tent east and was wondering if anyone knew if there was a cut off time for the initial check in to the campsite?

We are trying to arrange flights just now for arriving on the Wednesday evening but need to make sure that if we turn up at 11pm for example, will we still be allowed access to the campsite?

We also booked the get a tent because I have a feeling we will have a few drinks on the Wednesday and the thought of trying to set a tent up at 11pm doesn't sound good!!! But can you buy sleeping bags at the site? (the less load we have travelling, the better)

I see the train takes around 50 minutes from Copenhagen. I also read that the festival has its own station but all I can select is Roskilde st. is this correct?

Finally, I see you can bring alcohol etc into the site but I see it is available to buy at the campsite, is this available 24 hours?

Thanks in advance for your help!!

Stuart

I have no clue about the entry times.

Yes, you can buy sleeping bags at the Spejder Sport stands in City Center East (or West).

You can change on Roskilde st. to the festival train which departs from platform 7. But as you will be living in East it might be faster to take one of the festival busses.

Some stands are always open, but the others close late at night and open again in the morning, so getting beer and other spirits shouldn't be a problem.

Id recommend taking the bus from Roskilde to festival entrance EAST. IF you take the train to the festival then you'll have a looong walk from WEST to EAST entrance.

I'm pretty sure there is no cut-off time for the get-a-tent camping.

If you are still planning your travel and still have to book flights I would like to strongly recommend arriving at least a few days before the main music program. The 'warm-up' days of Roskilde Festival (e.g. the Sunday to Wednesday) and everything that goes on at the camping area and warm-up stages is as much part of the Roskilde Festival experience as the main music program itself!

Hi B.

Thanks for that.

Another one of my friends has now booked so the numbers are growing!

The problem we have is that my friends will have to work on the Monday and Tuesday so we really cannot get there any earlier than the Wednesday afternoon/evening.

Go before the friend. He can meet up with you wendesday... You can have everything (including a cold beer) ready for him, when he arrives. And you won't miss the first days of warm up.
