Quick guide for the search

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Hi there,

I'm travelling to the Festival from Ireland. Planning on flying to Copenhagan, then getting the train to Roskilde. Then either walking or getting a bus to the festival.

Only issue is, I plan on travelling to Amsterdam after the festival. So I was wondering if there's trains from Roskilde that go straight to Amsterdam. If so, could I use my Interail Pass as well ?

I would say your best chance is to go to Copenhagen C from Roskilde and get a ticket to Amsterdam from there.

Another possibility you might want to look into is a flight from Copenhagen Airport to Amsterdam. Sometimes that option is cheaper than traveling by train.

I'm buying an Inter-rail pass so surely I could use that to get to Amsterdam from Roskilde/Copenhagan ? How far away is Roskilde station from the festival do you know ?

It's in walking distance, but you might want to use the shuttel busses or the train going from Roskilde station to the festival.

Take the train to Copenhagen. From there you can get with a city night line train 2,Amsterdam.

The City Night Line stops in Roskilde

Only real problem is that it departs from Roskilde at 19:11 and you have to leave the campsite at 14:00 (or is it 12:00)

You could do some sightseeing in Copenhagen and take it from the central station at 18:46 instead.

Another option is this one

Departing Roskilde st. at 09:39 with regionaltog towards Østerport
Arriving Høje Taastrup st. 09:47

Departing Høje Taastrup st. at 09:58 with ICE towards Hamburg Hbf
Arriving Hamburg Hbf at 14:16

Departing Hamburg Hbf at 14:46 with IC towards Stuttgart Hbf
Arriving Duisburg Hbf at 18:10

Departing Duisburg Hbf at 18:26 with ICE towards Amsterdam Centraal
Arriving Amsterdam Centraal at 20:27
