Quick guide for the search
X

  • Wildcard-Search
With the help of a so-called wildcard you can look for several search words, which have the same word beginning. If you search e.g. for "Typo*", the search will find everything that begins with "Typo" : Typo3, Typoscript, Typocode, Typo3user... etc.
  • Negative search
If you do not want to find certain expressions in your search result, you can cause this with placing a hyphen in front. Terms containing this phrase are excluded from the search result.
  • Search for user
It is possible to limit the search result on answers of certain users. In addition to the retrieval query attach still another "user:username" and find the results, which were written by this certain user. If the username could not be found this will be ignored.

Is Trentmoller the major electronic act this year? Apologies for the ignorance on my behalf but I hadn't heard of him until he was announced icon_redface.gif Looking forward to the party he is renowned for though... So if he is could the Prodigy be fitted in? We could do with Prodigy in a big way!!

Efter idag er der 152 navne og hvert år er der 175, så derfor mangler der jo stadig 23. icon_smile.gif

As much as I love The Prodigy I dont think we get anymore headliners this year..I didnt even think we'd get one after the big slip icon_smile.gif

I predict only a couple of subliners (Janes addiction and Animal Collective like..) and then a bunch of small acts...

I don't think that there will be any more acts that are not familiar to the audience, but i agree that the chance of more headliners is somewhat minimal. Maybe one more, and Trentemøller or someone like that, will be listed as a sub-headliner in stead. icon_smile.gif I am still cheering for Jamie Cullum or Dave Matthews Band. But let us see what comes up on wednesday.

Trentemøller being bumped to a sub? That wont happen.. He was paid and hired to do an exclusive headlining slot icon_smile.gif And I would say its 100% certain we wont get anymore headliners this year, with the amount of headliners we've got now!!
My qualified guess would be 5-6 subliners and the rest to be 'regulars'.

Last years announcements after the posterrelease:
Robyn, The Ting Tings, Juan Formell Y Los Van Van, Bob Hund, The Duke Spirit, Queen Ifrica, Mogwai, Culcha Candela, Fuck Buttons, Osaka Invasion, Bullet For My Valentine, Solomon Burke, CocoRosie and Lupe Fiasco

And then with that in mind that The Cult and M.I.A (both subliners) cancelled..

Quite some names, don't you think?
Out of those 14 there was 4 i didn't know before roskilde last year.
I think we are talking some artists of the same "Height". And a couple of those bands are very hyped up.
Bullet for my Valentine equals Dave Matthews Band. icon_biggrin.gif
But seriously. THere are quite some names to announce and some are going to be big. Maybe Jamie Cullum equals Lupe Fiasco. You get the drift? If it was 4 out of 14 last year, it is maybe 7-8 out of the 24 names after the big release this year that we don't know. The rest are pretty big. Mogwai, Solomon Burke, Bullet, Lupe, The Ting Tings. You get it? icon_wink.gif The prodigy is in my opinion still open.

The Prodigy COULD be a sub! THey are sublining Hove Festival in Norway! But then hove only has 4 headliners (Slipknot, Franz Ferdinand, The KIllers and Faith No More), and Roskilde has 9!

I don't get your point.

They are in Norway on the 25th and are off 'till July 1st.
Then they play in Belgium on July 2nd.

Roskilde only start July 2nd, so how can they play there between Norway and Belgium??

Prodigy are booked on the 3rd in France and 5th in poland, so only the 4th remains.
I'd REALLY like to see Prodigy at Roskilde, but I'd say the chances are quite slim

Comparing Dave Matthews Bands size to a band like Bullet For My Valentine is just absurd.. BFMV was not even a subliner and DMB would def qualify as a headliner, as they are headlining all other festivals they are playing - so its a no-go for them. Get it?

Jamie Cullum I cant speak on, but I can also asure you The Prodigy would headline - if you headline Rock Werchter, you headline EVERYWHERE! And they are not sublining hove.. If you look at the 16 bands they are listing on the right side of their page, the first 5 names are in alphabetic order (including Prodigy) and then the remaining 11 are in alphabetic order - wouldnt that be headlining?

Im not agaist us having more big names (2ManyDJs, Animal Collective, Elbow esque) but no more headliners. So stop hoping, wishing, demanding ect. because you're just going to be disapointed..

They are sublining. Because Hove has ONE headliner each day. Which play's last on the main stage. And The Prodigy is not playing the main stage but playing the amfi.

But they are definitely headliner material.

It's room for one more headliner on the poster now that FNM were booked?

And then only tell a couple of people and see how fast the roumour spreads icon_razz.gif But the idea of unanounced acts playing is an idea roskilde should try icon_smile.gif Glastonbury for instance had both The Last Shadow Puppets and Franz Ferdinand playing last year unanounced icon_smile.gif
