More than 1000 screaming fans, eager photographers, and 30 naked runners.

More than 1000 screaming fans, eager photographers, and 30 naked runners. This year’s winners were Christiane Petersen and Hans Christian Andersen (that is actually his name!) The happy and almost naked winners received their prizes: A ticket to Roskilde in 2010 each.

We conducted a poll among 25 of the spectators at the Naked Run and asked them the question: “What do you look at during the race – the winner or things that jump up and down? 96 % declared that they were mostly interested in things jumping up and down.

The only one keeping an eye on the winner was 18-year-old Julie. ”But I’m also very competitive,” she explained.

Every year, a naked run takes place in the Finnish city of Padsjoki. The jolly nudes have to run 10 kilometres. Shoes, socks and hats are allowed. However, the Finnish show less enthusiasm for dangling body parts than the festival-goers at Roskilde as they allow women whose breasts jump too much up and down to wear bras.

Female breasts are located on the chest. Yet, they can jump up to 9 cm up and down when you do a naked run. This fact has been established by a study from Portsmouth University, England, where observing jumping and dangling body parts is a science. If you have big breasts and often run around naked, your connective tissue can become limp, ultimately resulting in sagging breasts. It is yet unknown whether this conclusion can be applied to men’s dangling parts as well.
