The Orange Together code of conduct

SCROLL DOWN

Roskilde Festival is an experience we create and share together. That’s why we have a code of conduct with five simple rules for good Roskilde style.

We all have a responsibility to one another, so everyone gets the best possible experience at Roskilde Festival.

Orange Together is the name of our initiative to prevent boundary-crossing behaviour and strengthen the sense of safety at the festival.

It’s about taking responsibility for the atmosphere around you – and helping to set a positive tone for how we are together at the festival.

By following the five simple rules of the code, you help create a respectful framework for our unique orange community.

1. Be part of the community

Enjoy the freedom and meet others with respect and curiosity. Everyone has their own way of being – including you! When you help others feel welcome, you’re creating the best festival experience.

2. Look out for each other

Keep your eyes and heart open – we take care of one another, day and night. Lend a hand when your neighbour needs help or reach out to festival staff if someone seems in need.

3. Make space

The festival can be intense and euphoric, so be mindful of others in large, crowded spaces. Be considerate to those around you, and seek out a calmer area when you need more room.

4. Clean up before you move on

We stand together against throwaway culture. Bring as little camping gear as possible – and take it all home again. Sort your camp’s waste, so you leave the festival as clean as you found it.

5. Take a break

Give yourself a well-deserved rest from the party and explore the utopian and unexpected experiences of the festival city – the games, the new friends. The best memories come from both the intense and the quiet moments.

If Roskilde doesn’t feel right

We do not tolerate discrimination, boundary-crossing or violent behaviour. If you witness or experience something unpleasant, help is available. You are not alone.
