An enchanted forest of spherical synths, fragile melodies and performative elements

Ela Lung's universe combines fragile poetry and an ever-searching musical universe that takes the audience into a dreamlike space. Acoustic instruments such as the clarinet and double bass are mixed with spherical synths and reverb heavy soundscapes in a sonic landscape that exudes an intimate chamber music beauty while opening up space to other dimensions.

Behind the name Ela Lung is Danish musician and producer Lea Dyreborg Wagner, who, under her alias, is ready to draw Roskilde Festival into hazy dream worlds with delicate melodies, vulnerable vocals, experimental sounds, and performative elements that support the music's imaginative universe.

Her ability to create imaginative sound poetry was clearly demonstrated on her 2022 album My Froggytale, which conceptually unfolds an entire narrative about an encounter with a creature in a fairy-tale-like swamp. On her forthcoming material, Ela Lung moves towards a more organic sound, where folk and ballad-inspired elements intertwine with her characteristic dreamy universe.

This development also shapes her live performances, where intimate presence and surreal undercurrents are elevated by both a live band and performers – something audiences can look forward to when she brings brand-new material to Roskilde Festival.
