The healthcare system is full of norms, biases, and assumptions that mean we’re not always seen for who we really are.

Our experiences at the doctor’s office can vary widely depending on what kind of body we have – and the privileges we carry. But what if we could help change that?

At this year’s Roskilde Festival, Normkritiske Læger (Norm-Critical Doctors) invites you to join open conversations and workshops where we share stories, frustrations, and visions for the future. Together, we’ll explore how norms, privilege, and health intersect – and imagine a healthcare system where everyone is taken seriously, regardless of body, identity, or background.

During three workshops at Flokkr, Normkritiske Læger works with the encounter of the GP, the psychiatrist, and the gynecologist. They’re based on real patient experiences, which you’re welcome to share anonymously – either during the event or ahead of time via @normkritiskelaeger on Instagram. Your voice can help make a difference.

Please note: This event will be in Danish.

Normkritiske Læger works for zero tolerance towards sexism, racism, ageism, ableism, fatphobia, homophobia, and transphobia in the Danish healthcare system. It is a voluntary association of healthcare professionals, primarily doctors, who want to focus on norm criticism in the healthcare system. Norm criticism is about examining the ‘normal’ concepts and the prejudices and assumptions that affect both patients and healthcare professionals.
