Danish freestyle rap champions put freedom of speech to the test in improvised rap show

  • Monday 1 July
Rapolitics Freestyle show: Elbanovic, Elias Ben Afia, Den Lette Gade, Conradi, Flammen & Akapelle, 17:00, Re:Act

From Cuba to Spain to Egypt, Palestine, Thailand, and Myanmar, hip-hop artists experience their freedom of speech being under pressure. Imprisonment, censorship, shadow banning, and death threats.

When the six freestyle rappers Elbanovic, Elias Ben Afia, Den Lette Gade, Conradi, Flammen, and Akapelle take the stage and deliver an improvised rap show, they celebrate our freedom of speech and artists' right to express themselves - even when it comes to controversial, political, or difficult subjects that push our boundaries. Join in choosing which topics to put into verses.

Re:Act is a partnership between Rapolitics, Roskilde Festival, and the Danish Institute of Human Rights. ReAct is supported by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affair’s OpEn-funding pool and Tuborg Fondet.
