Join the panel debate on the importance of music for reconciliation

  • Monday 1 July
Mino Danmark: Panel discussion on love, language and fetishisation, 14:00, Re:Act

Can one sing along to a text with a stereotypical view of women and still declare oneself a feminist?

The music at Roskilde Festival unites us, creates community, and allows us to share unique experiences with each other. But music can also create division and a sense of powerlessness when singing along to lyrics that can both assemble and discriminate. The panel will discuss how words and expressions can create conflict but also understanding of identity and belonging.

Re:Act is a partnership between Rapolitics, Roskilde Festival, and the Danish Institute of Human Rights. ReAct is supported by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affair’s OpEn-funding pool and Tuborg Fondet.
