We’ve finally reached the festival's Final Days, and that means not only a cornucopia of music and performances but also even more delicious food to choose from to satisfy the hungry festival-goer!
Centrally located on the festival site, right between Arena, Avalon, and Artzone, you’ll find the Food Court, the festival’s diverse culinary laboratory, where you can explore a wide selection of experimental food stalls. Each year new ones join, and here’s an overview of this year’s new additions to the Food Court.
Dreaming of warmer climes? At Gorda, you’ll find Latin American delights, including arepas, crispy Venezuelan corn bread with avocado and mushrooms or chicken. If the sun comes out, you can also cool down with a cold hibiscus lemonade.
Need to warm up instead? Then head over to the café Frihed, run by the Ukrainian association in Roskilde, Lastivka. Here you can warm up with traditional Ukrainian dishes such as Borsch (beetroot soup) and Dolma (stuffed vine leaves) – with or without meat.
Woke up with a hangover and just craving a burger? First Season (formerly Planteslagterne) has opened in Food Small (the small Food Court opposite The Garden) and offers both cheez burgers and farmer fries... with the little twist that everything is 100% vegan!
Craving Korean? Copenhagen-Korean Kopan Street offers traditional street food pancakes to satisfy both savory and sweet cravings.
A true Nørrebro favorite, Diamond Slice, has come to the festival city and offers large New York-style pizza slices with dip. Perfect for balancing your salt and fat intake!
Maybe you’ve already had plenty of rye bread in the camp, but they likely can’t compare to a good serving of Danish open-faced sandwiched (smørrebrød). You can get that at Norrlyst Smørrebrød, where the sandwiches are based on seasonal ingredients. Try, for example, a potato sandwich with new Danish potatoes or a sandwich with confit celeriac.
In addition to the food stalls in the Food Court, there are over 100 others to choose from across the entire festival area, so there’s something for every taste!
You can find much more about all the food stalls in the festival app, where you can also filter for options like gluten-free or lactose-free. You can also see the CO2 emissions for each dish. Many dishes are marked with the One Planet Plate label, which means they have a CO2 footprint of max 0.5 kg and are 100% organic. The One Planet label is presented in collaboration with WWF.
