Find your way to our many oases

01.07.2024The festival

The festival city is buzzing with sounds and people, but sometimes you just need a break. Fortunately, this year's festival offers plenty of opportunities for that. This is your guide to some of the places.

The bass is pumping on the stages and in the camping area. In the meantime, there is tranquility to be found in many of the festival city's oases. You can either find our calm areas on the festival map (look for the symbol of the meditating person) or explore selected oases in this guide:

Yoga and food communities

In East City, you will find The Yard, where you can make flower crowns, meet new friends over good meals, practice yoga, dance, and engage in other activities that are beneficial for body, mind, and community. On Monday and Tuesday, instructors from the Danish Yoga Association will guide yoga sessions in the large dance tent from 9:30 to 13:30.

You can also meet new friends around the festival bonfire when the dormitory The Mark invites you to bake twist bread on Monday from 10:00 and Tuesday from 15:00. If you're craving a hearty plant-based meal, come by when Marie Hertz, Perfect Season, and Gro Selv invite you to cook over the fire during the First Days.

Facilitated Naps and Daydreaming

ZoneOut is located west of the arena between 7th and 8th Street, between two stable buildings, and here you are invited to rest, whisper, meditate, turn off your phone, gaze at the sky, daydream, drink non-alcoholic beverages – and just be.

At both ends of ZoneOut, signs mark that you are now entering a quiet area. There is furniture designed for you to simply sit by yourself and relax between the graffiti-decorated walls, and every day there are small, peaceful events you can participate in.

On Wednesday from 10:00 to 15:00 and again from 17:00 to 21:00, you can fully unwind when the duo LurTid invites you to take a communal nap. On Thursday from 10:00 to 15:00 and Saturday from 10:00 to 15:00, young people from Ungdomsøen (Youth Island) facilitate meditation and offer poetry readings.

Take a Dip or Nap on the Grass

In the southern part of the camping area, right around Get a Silent Spot, you will also find the Fishing Lake and the Swimming Lake. As always, you can cool off in the Swimming Lake or rest your eyes on the grass beside it.

Chill in The Garden

And when the festival site opens on Wednesday, The Garden, located between the Orange Stage and Avalon, will also open.

Here you will find plenty of space to relax in the shade of the large trees, take a walk around the small lakes, or settle down on one of the many cozy pieces of garden furniture.

Take a divine nap in Vor Frue Church

During the hours from 9:30 to 16:00 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, you also have the opportunity for a divine break at Vor Frue Church, just 750 metres south of Entrance East.

Here, you can lie down on a mattress in the church hall, say a little prayer, light a candle, load up on sunscreen, talk to a priest, listen to quiet, meditative music, and much more – and you can, of course, also charge your phone!
