Hypha Co-Lab works to promote the knowledge and use of mycelium. Among other things, by presenting furniture made from mycelium composites, which use residual material from mushroom cultivation for production.
The mycelium of the fungus acts as a natural binder that grows in the straw and creates a strong and sustainable material after drying, suitable for furniture for e.g. a festival. When the furniture can no longer be used, it can be composted. The stools are either grown in molds or directly in the ground at Roskilde Festival and dug up afterwards.
Hypha Co-Lab will participate in The Circular Lab for the first time in 2024
At Roskilde Festival 2024, you can meet Hypha Co-Lab for the first time, where they will test and further develop their concept together with the festival's guests.
