ABOUT THE TASK

We’re looking for you if you can’t wait to be back at the festival to enjoy (hopefully) good weather, great music, and have a good chat with your friends and fellow volunteers! 💃🏻

Our primary task is to supply various serving stations with the ordered glasses so they can serve drinks to all the guests. We pack the clean glasses and send them out, as well as receive the used glasses and store them in coolers until they’re picked up by the shipping company.

Overall, we have the following roles:

  • Set-up and Take-down: You will help set up the pavilions, tables and benches, and generally build the hub for the event. This means shifts on Wednesday to Friday before the festival and Sunday to Tuesday after the festival.
  • Forklift: If you have a forklift license and can help move pallets in and out of the large coolers, this might be for you! We need people for forklift duties the week before the festival, as well as during and after the event.
  • Packing and Sorting: We’re looking for volunteers who want to help pack clean glasses and sort used ones. You can sign up with friends or come meet lots of new volunteers, as it’s a large team, especially towards the end of the week.
  • Office and Night Shifts: Here, you’ll help answer phone calls and manage the administrative side of our tasks. There will also be the option to only have night shifts or a mix of day and evening shifts.

ACCESSIBILITY

Our team offers following accessibility:

  • We offer tasks that are not physically demanding.
  • We offer a special connection to a leader or another volunteer.
  • We offer tasks with limited contact with festival participants.
  • We offer additional and patient guidance for tasks when needed.
  • We offer the option to stay in contact with a chosen family member/friend outside the festival for extra reassurance.

ABOUT YOU

These are all roles that require you to be on your feet for many hours and be good at chatting, as many volunteers gather and typically make a lot of new acquaintances after their shifts.

For the forklift role, you must have a forklift license.

For the office and night shift role, you need to be over 18 and preferably have experience with professional phone communication and be IT-savvy.

ABOUT US

We are a team that has been working together for 1.5 years and has had the task of helping to build the Glass Recycling project. There is a strong emphasis on the well-being of all our volunteers and ensuring that there is space for everyone – with a particular focus on including volunteers aged 16-64, from different backgrounds.

WANT TO JOIN US?

Please send an email to Julie.Nielsen@roskilde-festival.dk if you're interested, and write in the subject line which role you're most interested in: setup and takedown, truck, packing and sorting, or office. You can expect a response within a week.

If you're applying as a group, please send one email with all the information for each person included.

ABOUT THE JOB

Smile and wave! Smile and wave!

Do you enjoy being on the front line? Would you like to join a well-organized team with many years of experience? Then join us out front at Parking West, where we are some of the first people that the happy and excited festival-goers meet when they arrive!
Together, we ensure a great atmosphere, a little dance, high spirits, and plenty of good jokes.

With us, you'll check driving and parking permits, and provide directions to guests who might be a bit lost.

During the festival, we work 32-hour shifts (usually divided into at least one day shift, one evening shift, and one night shift), and only one of your shifts will be on a music evening/night. You’ll of course have the opportunity to influence your schedule, and you can easily be placed on a team with your friends. And psst! There’s food provided during your shift.

ABOUT YOU

You’re smiling, outgoing, and service-minded. You can keep a cool head when things get busy, and along with the rest of the team, you help maintain the good mood during quieter times.

ACCESSIBILITY

Our team offers the following:

  • Tasks that are not physically demanding.
  • The option to sit down often during shifts.
  • Tasks that can be done with impaired hearing.
  • Extra and patient guidance on tasks when needed.
  • A community without alcohol in our backstage area.
  • The option to stay in touch with a chosen family member/friend outside of the festival for extra comfort.

WHO ARE WE?

We are Darupgaard’s Riding Club. For many years, we have participated in the Roskilde Festival with members of the riding club, friends, parents, and outsiders who have nothing to do with horses. Together, we create high spirits during the festival—and the mood lasts the rest of the year. Together with you, we ensure that our riding club members can take part in equestrian events, where they can go out and build connections with others who share their passion for the sport. Our belief is that everyone should have the means to participate, regardless of background. By engaging with us, you help support this goal.

Our leadership team has been around for a long time and has "orange blood in their veins." We know all the great stories, and we’re happy to share them! Our experience with this task is so extensive that it takes a lot to surprise us. But most importantly, we have a great collaboration throughout the year, and we all share the same goal: that everyone has a great festival, where they feel seen, heard, and appreciated for who they are and for the tasks they perform.

WANT TO BE PART OF THE TEAM?

Write to festival@darupgaards-rideklub.dk.

In your email, include your name and age, and add if there are several friends who would like to be on the same team.

Feel free to also let us know if you have previously volunteered.

ABOUT THE TASK

Come and join this year's party, as a service host in traffic north.

Our primary tasks take place on the roads just north of the festival, around the main entrance to the festival site (Darupvej & Maglegårdsvej). We ensure that only vehicles with the correct permits and wristbands are allowed through our gates and locks. We check wristbands on pedestrians and cyclists at the entrances to the festival. It is both volunteers, festival workers and general guests who come through our entrances. It is primarily a band check, no search. We help those who do not have the right permits with directions on where to go to get them.

What do we expect?

You must take 4 shifts of 8 hours each. You choose the shifts yourself, but must be chosen as a complete package. We will open for shift selection as soon as we have our norms and shift plan in place.

ACCESSIBILITY

Our team offers following accessibility

  • We offer tasks that are not physically demanding.
  • We offer tasks that take place at a leisurely pace.
  • We offer the possibility of being called with questions about the volunteer role before the festival, if you send us your phone number in an email.

ABOUT YOU

You will of course arrive on time, preferably a little earlier, and you must not be under the influence. You always answer with a smile. Although we control permissions and bands, we are still a service function.
We will meet all kinds of people and we will smile at everyone and be positive. If help is needed, contact your immediate manager.

ABOUT US

HG/Næstved Dragons is a floorball club in Næstved. We are around 100 members with an approximate 50/50 distribution between senior and youth. Everything we earn at the festival goes entirely to the association's operation and activities, to the delight of a lot of active young people. However, we have a goal that around 1/3 of the profit should come from our volunteers at the festival in the form of good food and a tent for fun and cheap beer etc.

You become part of a team and a community. We lift together, even if the party from yesterday is hammering through our heads and the weather is against us. We always take on challenges with a smile and a pint of beer when we're done (maybe more). We are happy to go the extra mile for our volunteers as long as the respect is mutual.

We offer:

1. Own base area with sofas, games, party, lots of fun and the festival's best draft beer!
2. Free breakfast every day 6:00 – 11:00 regardless of whether you are on duty or not.
3. And of course you get meals when you are on duty.

WANT TO JOIN US?

If you're interested, then write us at roskilde@dragonsfloorball.dk.

We also have a Facebook group for all volunteers who are committed year after year. Find the group here:

ABOUT THE TASK

We serve consistently great comfort food!

Volunteering with us is about giving the best you've got to help us serve great food for the guests at Roskilde Festival.

You will be volunteering in a busy but fun restaurant setting. You will never be alone, but you will always be in close contact with co-volunteers and our professional staff.

Our food stalls are big and spacious. You will have a great sense of the festival athmosphere when on duty.

Volunteering in a food stall is all about handling food or being in contact with our guests.

All volunteers will take part in regular cleaning duties. There's no great cooking without great cleaning.

All volunteers will say 'yes' to one night shift too. But never alone.

We work in an ALCOHOL FREE environment.

As a volunteer with Feast you will gain access to picking your own shifts. This means that you will be able to coordinate with your friends when you will be volunteering.

Do expect to be on your feet for hours when you're volunteering in a food stall at Roskilde Festival. We provide breaks and food during your shifts, but volunteering is not vacation time. We expect that you bring good energy and that you're ready to give it your best.

We take pride into making our food from scratch. We take pride into being nice.

ACCESSIBILITY

Our team offers following accessibility:

  • We offer tasks that can be completed with reduced hearing
  • We offer tasks that do not require speaking
  • We offer special support from a leader or another volunteer.
  • We provide extra and patient guidance on tasks as needed
  • We offer a community without alcohol in our back area

ABOUT YOU

We ask that you're a team player and that you have a positive mind set. Volunteering at Roskilde Festival is about helping each other. We depend on you being somebody we can trust and we depend on you being ready to help with whichever tasks are necessary. Training will be provided.
