ABOUT THE TASK
We are looking for volunteer camping hosts for the Tent area in West. You will be part of a larger team where we work together to ensure that all camping guests have an amazing festival experience. We provide service and are available if anyone needs a helping hand. We help maintain a joyful atmosphere in the camping area.
Work areas:
Primarily, we walk around the area to ensure that everyone is doing well, call for assistance if needed, and help guests with their questions and challenges.
We keep an eye on the toilet areas, lock toilets that are out of order, and, if necessary, rinse them (though not perform a thorough cleaning).
We distribute trash bags to guests and encourage them to use these bags and drop them off at the waste collection points.
We have our own dispatchers and supervisors. They handle radio communication, task distribution, and requesting assistance (security and medical help). Supervisors are your point of contact in the field and assist with any serious situations and incidents.
ACCESSIBILITY
Our team offers following accessibility
- Access to our area for wheelchair users or others with reduced mobility.
- The possibility to sit down frequently during shifts.
- Easy access to accessible toilets.
- A special connection to a leader or another volunteer.
- Thorough and patient guidance until you feel comfortable with the task.
ABOUT YOU
We have no specific requirements for you as a volunteer, but we hope that you are open, outgoing, and friendly when carrying out your tasks.
Working hours:
Your contribution to Roskilde Festival consists of four shifts of eight hours each during the period from June 28 to July 6. It is possible to apply with friends, and we will do our best to schedule your shifts together.
ABOUT US
AIR Roskilde Wrestling Club is the local wrestling club, and all our profits go towards giving children and young people, especially those from vulnerable families, the opportunity to participate in our sport and, more importantly, to be part of our amazing community. The funds we raise allow us to offer activities that would otherwise not be possible. The children we support typically include vulnerable Danish children and refugee children from the Middle East and Ukraine.
Food, drinks, and social life in Basecamp
We provide you with free food and drinks during your shifts throughout the festival period in our base area. Additionally, drinks will be available for purchase at very reasonable prices. This year, we are especially focused on creating a great social atmosphere in our base, so you won’t want to be anywhere else!
Welcome meeting and shared camping
Before the festival, we invite all our volunteers to an info session via Teams, where we can meet and connect. If you cannot attend, we will arrange a meeting before the shifts start. We hope to once again offer camping in a closed-off area (exclusively for the Wrestling Club and Roskildejob).
WANT TO JOIN US?
