Detroit's ghettotech innovators deliver ecstatic dance explosion

Get carried away by edgy rhythms and heavy bass frequencies when Detroit trio HiTech kick off a wild dance party at Roskilde Festival.

With a raw and inventive blend of hip-hop, techno, house, and the hyper-energetic beats of footwork, the trio of King Milo, Milf Melly, and 47Chops burst onto the music scene in 2023 with two outstanding albums that garnered critical acclaim and landed them on several year-end best releases lists.

At the same time, word of their intense concerts has spread like wildfire, making them a popular festival act that always manages to create a sweaty atmosphere with both dancing and mosh pits, thrilling audiences with their overwhelming productions.

Musically, the trio draws on a wealth of influences and has been seen as the pioneers of a new wave of ghettotech – a hybrid genre particularly associated with Detroit. "The best ghettotech rager in recent memory" wrote Pitchfork about their second album Détwat. This summer, they are ready to show Roskilde Festival what ghettotech in 2025 should sound like, and they are bringing a new album to what is sure to be an explosive concert.
