After his epic concerts in 2016 and 2018, British star finally returns to Roskilde

Stormzy has gone from being a trailblazer of the British grime genre to an all-encompassing icon, collaborating with the likes of Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy, and in 2019 becoming the first black British rapper to headline the iconic Glastonbury Festival.

His acclaimed debut album Gang Signs & Prayer (2017) already marked Stormzy as a highly relevant artist and the album reached number one in the UK charts, unheard of for a grime album.

Since then, he has rapidly evolved as an artist, first with the album Heavy Is The Head (2019) and most recently with This Is What I Mean from 2022, which has been praised for showing a more vulnerable and thoughtful side of the star, with deeply personal lyrics and a musical universe that draws on soul, R&B and afrobeats. In August 2024, Stormzy released the massive banger ‘BACKBONE’ together with Chase & Status, which went straight to number one on the UK Singles chart.

Storzmy has never made a secret of his love for the Danish audience, who have returned the love with almost ecstatic reactions to his Danish concerts. We have also experienced this several times at Roskilde Festival, which Stormzy visited in both 2016 and 2018. Both times with concerts that set off a wild party and which Stormzy himself has described as some of his best concert experiences. So there's good reason to expect an extraordinary concert when Stormzy finally returns to Roskilde.
