Anansi's Web

Dance with the devil to Caribbean carnival performance

With pounding bass, calypso, and large masquerade costumes, the international artist duo Anansi’s Web creates an intense and turbulent space. With their new performance piece 'Dimanche', Anansi’s Web explores the folklore traditions of Caribbean carnival, sound systems, and their resonance in contemporary hip-hop culture.

Therese Bülow & Faun Vium

Video poetry while you wait for the concerts

In between concerts at Orange and Arena, you can enjoy a video poem created by artists Therese Bülow and Faun Vium on the large screens by the stages. The video work is dedicated to those who stand alone before a concert or who do not always feel part of the festival’s euphoric joy. The work attempts to offer a space for the quieter, softer, and more melancholic feelings that are sometimes overlooked in the intensity of the party.

Baum & Leahy

Become part of the Pantopia entity and build new energy and resilience

Pantopia is a living, colorful, expansive entity created by the Danish-British artist duo Baum & Leahy. Pantopia arrived at Flokkr last year, and its long textile tendrils offer a protective and caring embrace. Pantopia is about the dream of a more sustainable future, and the work is created by transforming contemporary organic products and waste materials.

Delta

Wild sculptures by world-renowned graffiti artist

During the festival’s Final Days, the visionary Dutch visual artist Delta unveils two large sculptures created specifically for this year's festival along with a series of fascinating graffiti works. The two large colorful sculptures, which stand in the middle of the festival site, form two stages shaped like words. With these works, Delta explores physical space and how to relate to it through art, pushing the boundaries of what graffiti art can be.

Jean Marc Routhier

Installation inspired by Tibetan prayer flags, examining the transience of the moment

The Danish-Canadian artist Jean Marc Routhier’s installation consists of steel wires stretched between two high points on the festival site. These steel wires carry colorful "flags", inspired by Tibetan prayer flags, composed of candy wrappers and contrasting objects. Upon closer inspection, you will however discover that the flags are frozen in their movement. The installation invites you to experience movement in frozen forms and reflect on the transience of the moment and the festival.

Banaan Al-Nasser

Let yourself be enveloped by memories and nostalgia in Gloria’s foyer

If you need a bit of peace and immersion, you can let yourself be enveloped by Danish-Palestinian-Jordanian Banaan Al-Nasser’s installation 'In Memory of Home', which you can find both outside and inside the foyer of the Gloria stage. In this work, Banaan Al-Nasser draws on memories from her own childhood home and upbringing, where satellite dishes became a symbol of communication between the West and the Middle East.

The festival has much more art and activism in the program, which you can explore here:
