Experience one of the most forward-thinking voices on the Chilean music scene when Akriila visits Roskilde Festival this summer.
In just a few short years, Akriila has made a name for herself with a progressive electronic style that fuses trap and catchy reggaeton rhythms with dreamy synths, reflective lyrics and emotional depth. Hard reggaeton bangers are juxtaposed with introspective ballads, just like Akriila draws inspiration from innovative pop names like Charli XCX and Rosalía.
Akriila has been a hot name on the Latin American scene since 2021, when she released her first singles. Here, she also made her mark as a relevant social critic with a feminist agenda, taking a sharp look at the tensions in Chilean society. Additionally, Akriila has solidified herself as a cult figure for South American lesbians, who echo a phrase that runs through her album, at concerts and on social media: "Hot gays listen to Akriila!"
With her debut album Epistolares, released in 2024, she has set the stage for conquering the rest of the world with a raw, catchy and diverse expression. When she performs her first Danish concert at Roskilde Festival, there is good reason to indulge in her strong and danceable sound.
