Atlanta singer-songwriter Faye Webster creates music that, on the surface, can seem almost casual and charged with drowsy moods. But soon they reveal both underlying drama and a youthful vulnerability that draws the listener in.
Webster comes from a family of musicians working in fields like bluegrass and country. This background also resonates in her often melancholic songs, which combine country inspiration with indie folk, pop and R&B. This original blend has earned her fans across multiple genres and generations, as well as superlative reviews.
Her album I Know I'm Funny Haha earned her a spot on Pitchfork's Best Albums of the Year list for 2021, and her powerful follow-up Underdressed at the Symphony, released in 2024, has garnered no shortage of praise from the international music press.
In a series of intelligent and unflinching songs, Webster masterfully captures a quivering state between the open senses of youth and the experiences of adulthood. The melancholic nerve is also deeply felt when she takes the stage with a fragile presence and original arrangements, and we look forward to experiencing the unique songwriter at Roskilde this summer!
