With a rare poetic nerve and a natural ability to mesmerise her audience, Danish-Faroese Lea Eyðbjørg has created a musical universe where Nordic melancholy meets dreamy folk-pop.
The debut EP kærlighedsdigte til de uhjælpelige (love poems for the helpless in English), released in 2024, is a good showcase for the lyrical universe that hits right at the heart with reflections on love and vulnerability with a touch of humour. Musically, she embraces both the fragile and the powerful and conveys the universe of the songs with a distinctive voice that really sticks with the audience.
Although she didn't enter the music scene until 2023, she has already gained solid live experience, supporting acts such as August Høyen and Østen and earning praise for her intense performances, where the songs are elevated by her own unique stage presence, supported by an excellent band.
With equal parts nerve and presence, she is well on her way to becoming one of Denmark's great lyrical and melodic talents. A debut album is in the making, and a powerful live experience awaits when Lea Eyðbjørg embraces Roskilde Festival with her Nordic melancholy.
