It’s not the first time Danish rapper Merro8 has taken the stage at Roskilde Festival. In 2023, he performed a short set at a programme that focused on the future of Danish hip-hop. The show was highly praised, and since then Merro8 has gone from a young hope to an indispensable name on the Danish hip-hop stage.
In 2024, he cemented his position with the single "Intet Nyt", which went straight to number one on the Danish Spotify chart, and with the highly anticipated debut album Ocho, which shows format and versatility with strong melodicism, heartfelt lyrics and danceable bangers that draw on afrobeats and dancehall.
The album paved the way for sold-out concerts and award nominations, and the talented rapper continues his winning streak with the new single "200", which was released in early 2025 and shows an artist who has no intention of resting on his laurels.
It is therefore a great pleasure to welcome Merro8 back to Roskilde Festival, this time with a full show where he can unfold his full range.
