"Hits you right in the heart" wrote Danish magazine GAFFA in a glowing review of Danish singer Mumble's debut EP, Mumler Ikke. Audiences have also quickly taken Mumle's songs to heart, as evidenced by massive streaming numbers and packed concert halls.
Behind the name Mumle is Julia Kathrine Hansen, who has quickly gone from unknown to one of the great new voices on the Danish music scene. She graduated in the summer of 2023 and shortly afterwards released the single "Det Modsatte", which instantly became a huge hit.
On both the breakthrough hit and subsequent hits like "Hvor Solen Ik' Skinner", Mumle unfolds as a powerful talent, combining the captivating qualities of pop with raw honesty, humour and wry observations from the emotional rollercoaster ride of life. Her ability to take sharp lyrical snapshots of relatable reality resonates with her own generation, but also has broad appeal, as evidenced by her collaboration with legendary Danish band TV-2 on the song "Som Om".
Most recently, she collaborated with rapper Omar on the single "Hele Vejen", and no matter who she collaborates with, she manages to bring an element of her quirky and poppy Mumle universe to the music. We can’t wait to step into this unique universe when the rising star graces Roskilde Festival.
