Step into a magical rhythm laboratory when Roskilde Festival welcomes the genre-opening and pulsating sound of the duo Nídia & Valentina.
Valentina Magaletti's organic and ever-changing drum rhythms intertwine almost hypnotically with Nídia's electronic beats in a sound universe that draws inspiration from house, techno and hip-hop, but also from Afrobeat and Angola's dance inducing kuduro music.
When Italian drummer Valentina Magaletti launches a new project, there's always a reason to listen. The stunning musician, who in 2025 can also be seen with the experimental rock trio Moin, shows her mastery once again in her new duo with Afro-Portuguese DJ and producer Nídia. Nídia is a central figure in Portugal's progressive electronic scene, having made her mark as producer for Fever Ray and remixer for Yaeji. She also proves to be the ideal collaborator for Magaletti.
From different starting points but with a shared love of imaginative rhythms, Nídia & Valentina's acclaimed album Estradas (2024) is a unique take on an alternative form of dance music that uplifts body and mind. Now the two creative musicians are ready to create an ecstatic trip at Roskilde Festival with their pulsating and trance-inducing rhythms.
