With a personal vocal and a poetic grasp of language, Soleima has established herself as one of the strongest Danish-language singers working today.
She demonstrated this on the 2023 album Nationens Skrammer, where, after several English-language releases, she unfolded her talent for relevant and often socially critical songs in her native language. The lyrical spark is intact on Soleima's new album, due out in 2025, from which we have already heard the single "Den Udødelige Historie".
Here, Soleima ushers in a more rock sound without sacrificing the personal tone and strong Danish-language lyrics. The album is based on the dogma that everything should be recorded live and to realize Soleima's vision, she has teamed up with Bjarke Niemann from Danish band Spleen United.
Nationens Skrammer was praised by Soundvenue, who wrote that the album hit "a sweet spot between Medina and The Minds of 99". Soleima is now paving the way for a more rock infused adventure, which will also spread to the stage when she takes the stage at Roskilde Festival with her band and plenty of poetic power.
