The Raveonettes return to Roskilde Festival with a brand new album, and the stylish duo are ready to unleash their unrivalled blend of guitar noise, beautiful melodies and pure rock'n'roll attitude.

Sparks flew from the start when Sune Wagner and Sharin Foo hit the Danish music scene in 2002 with the now almost legendary mini-album Whip It On. Wagner had already established himself as one of the most important Danish rock musicians of his generation with bands like Psyched Up Janis and Tremolo Beer Gut, but in collaboration with Foo he struck a golden vein with an expression that cut right to the bone of rock, but at the same time managed to embrace inspirations from several eras. From 50s rock'n'roll and 60s girl groups to 70s punk and 80s noise rock. All with a solid dose of Americana atmosphere and lots of reverb.

Since then, The Raveonettes have not only been one of the biggest rock bands in Denmark, they have also gained significant international recognition, and the importance is emphasised by the 2023 release Rip It Off, where artists like MØ, Dave Gahan and The Brian Jonestown Massacre interpret songs from Whip It On.

After a long hiatus, the duo returned in 2024 with the covers album The Raveonettes Sing..., but the recently released Pe'ahi 2 is their first album of original songs since 2014's Pe'ahi, to which it is a sequel. The Raveonettes have visited Roskilde Festival several times, most recently in 2011, and a lesson in both melodic and noisy rock awaits when they take the stage again with a wealth of classics and new songs.
