4am Kru takes you back to a magical time in the early 90s when a true creative explosion unfolded on the UK rave scene. Not least with the emergence of the jungle genre, which, in recent years, has experienced a major revival with artists like Nia Archives.
With their stunning debut album from 2024, Incognito Rhythm, the duo has made a strong bid to revitalize the genre. The music sounds new and fresh while paying homage to the unrestrained creativity of the early pioneers of jungle music.
4am Kru began making music during the lockdown era, when clubs were empty, but now they’re busy filling dance floors with their declaration of love for rave culture, where the jungle sound is prominent, but where you’ll also find references to everything from reggae and hip-hop to italo disco and classic techno.
Not only has the duo garnered praise for their personal and narrative-driven sound, but they’ve also quickly built a reputation as an outstanding live act that manages to combine rave culture with an engaging concert experience. This is live jungle like you’ve never experienced it before. Whether you want to dive deep into a unique jungle revival or simply soak in a rain of syncopated and danceable beats, there’s good reason to check out 4am Kru when they perform at Roskilde Festival this summer.
