Punk duo with harsh social criticism, humor and wild live energy

  • Saturday 5 July

As befits a true punk project, Brighton duo Lambrini Girls spare no words when raging against the system. The songs that slap chauvinists and nationalists in the face and screams at post-Brexit Britain are nonetheless strangely uplifting with their humor and energy.

The duo consists of Phoebe Lunny (vocals/guitar) and Lilly Macieira (bass) and since releasing their debut EP, You're Welcome, in 2023, they have shaken up British music with a chaotic mix of punk, noise rock and poppy hooks. It's fun, angry, and incredibly catchy, and the EP's cover of a turd surrounded by flames sets the tone for a band that doesn't sugarcoat anything.

The debut album Who Let The Dogs Out will be released in 2025 on City Slang, and was recorded with Daniel Fox from Gilla Band. Singles like "Big Dick Energy" have already set expectations high.

Rumors of the duo's wild concerts also bode well for their visit to Roskilde Festival, where you can expect an out-of-this-world burst of energy. As the site Loud Women wrote about one of their concerts: "If any band are going to set the world, your ears, and a stage on fire it's them."
