With their hard and dirty take on classic death metal, the young Silkeborg band Neckbreakker already brought an orgy of headbanging to Roskilde Festival in 2023. It was clear that they were a band that all serious metal fans should keep an eye on.
Back then, they went by the Danish name Nakkeknaekker. But with massive attention from the international metal community, appearances at numerous foreign festivals and a debut album released on one of the world's leading metal labels, Nuclear Blast, the band has changed its name to Neckbreakker.
The ambition to deliver a feast of ripping riffs, brutal growls and bone-crushing rhythms remains intact for the band, who have built a solid reputation in old-school fashion through a series of intense concerts.
With their debut album Within The Viscera, the stage is set for new and violent adventures. "A new extreme metal force has begun their bloodstained rise," wrote metal magazine Kerrang!. It's still a very special experience to be shaken by the band's live energy, and we’re thrilled to bring Neckbreakker back to Roskilde Festival for another brutal lesson in extreme metal.
