Identity Crisis is the title of Tex's EP from 2024, and indeed the innovative producer and multi-instrumentalist manages to create a musical universe where strong contrasts pull the listener in many directions in a mix of alternative R&B, noisy guitars and a unique voice.
Originally from Sweden, Tex spent several years working in London and now lives in Copenhagen. His music has attracted international attention with features on BBC One, Clash Magazine and The Line of Best Fit, and none other than Frank Ocean has played the single "Sound of You" on his Homer Radio show on Apple Music. The 2022 single, which now has over a million streams on Spotify, was something of a breakthrough for the alternative artist, who has since toured much of Europe.
In 2023, Tex collaborated with Danish artist Barbro on the acclaimed double single "Why b / Cryo". With Identity Crisis, he strengthens his position as one of Scandinavia's most distinctive vocalists with personal songs that unite fans of R&B, alt-pop and experimental rock, which we look forward to hearing this summer at Roskilde Festival.
