A true original on the Danish rap scene, Skt. DeLarge is an artist who since 2020 has garnered praise for his unique style that blends alternative hip-hop, digital hardcore, noise and punk spirit.
The music is expressive and often aggressive with distorted synth sounds, roaring blast beats and over-processed guitars, but opens a great deal of thoughtfulness in lyrics that blast attacks on toxic masculinity, xenophobia and capitalism. With both anger and vulnerability, St DeLarge reveals a persona that screams at a broken world he knows he is helping to destroy.
With the excellent debut EP Super Ego from 2022 and a string of standout singles, Skt. DeLarge has impressed critics. However, the punky energy of the music really comes out at his live shows, hitting the audience with great ferocity.
Both the wild concerts and singles like “[De/Der] [De/Dem]”, which fights for the rights of LGBTQIA+ people, have created high expectations for St DeLarge's debut album, Ritualer Er Det Eneste Vi Har At Holde Om… Fortunately, it will finally be released this spring, so you can warm up properly for the radical musician's concert at Roskilde Festival.
